Nationalism is one of the main pillars supporting a nation's integrity and progress. In the diversity of ethnicities, religions, races, and cultures that exist in Indonesia, strengthening the values of nationalism is very important. Through nationalism, citizens can feel bound in a unified whole, foster a sense of love for the country, and actively participate in the country's development.

Strengthening the values of nationalism is a necessity that cannot be ignored. In the context of a diverse Indonesia, nationalism is key to maintaining unity, increasing patriotism, respecting history and culture, and promoting national development. Therefore, various steps need to be taken to instill and strengthen the values of nationalism, ranging from education to conducting movements that encourage a sense of pride as an Indonesian citizen. With strong nationalism, we can face various challenges and build a better Indonesia together.

A sense of nationalism is necessary for Indonesian citizens living in the country and Indonesian citizens living outside Indonesia. This is needed to foster further a sense of nationalism and love for the country for Indonesian citizens living outside Indonesia, including Indonesian citizens living in Malaysia.

To increase the sense of nationalism of Indonesian citizens who are abroad, the community service team of the State University of Malang, chaired by Prof. Dr. Yusuf Hanafi, S.Ag., M.Fil.I., and consisting of Dr. Ade Eka Anggraini, M.Pd., Khusnul Khotimah, M.Pd., and Diah Aulia Azizatur Rohmah, M.Pd., conducted community service activities for Indonesian citizens in Malaysia. The service team chaired by Prof. Dr. Yusuf Hanafi, S.Ag., M.Fil.I. provides strengthening of nationalism values to Indonesian citizen students by utilizing the SIMLA (symbols and precepts of Pancasila) educational game. The service activity carried out in July 2024 provided an impressive experience for students in Malaysia as indicated by a very enthusiastic response when using the SIMLA educational game.
