  • Hasan Hanafi's Thought
Hasan Hanafi, born on February 13, 1935 in Cairo, is a reformer in Islamic thought, his main concern lies in how Islam can be actualized in context and in real life.
The initial idea was to reconstruct traditional theology. Traditional theology was born in a historical context when the core of the Islamic belief system was God's transcendence and old culture. Theology is intended to maintain the main doctrine and to maintain its purity.
Hanafi asserted that the reconstruction of theology did not have to have implications for the loss of old traditions.

Muhammad Abid AlJabiri's Thought
Muhammad Abid al-Jabiri, a thinker from Maghrib (now Morocco) who just died in 2010. The author of the book Nahnu wa al-Turast is a unique figure and has features like other world thinkers namely Arkoun, Nashir Hamid, Hasan Hanafi and others.
This feature can be understood from his works which give priority to a thorough reading of an object of historical study (read traditions).
Al-Jabiri is a thinker who can be said to be perfect. Why is that? Because he reads all the variables of tradition with approaches that are not taken by other thinkers.
