MAKE A MATCH  DI KELAS XI MIPA 2 SMA NEGERI 3 SAPE

ABSTRACT

This classroom action research was conducted in Class XI Mipa 2 SMA Negeri 3 Sape with a total of 29 students. This research was conducted from  March to April 2021, in the second semester of the academic year 2020/2021. The objectives to be achieved in this research are (1) to describe the improvement of student's ability to write the form of procedure text through the Make a Match Learning Model in class XI Mipa 2 SMA Negeri 3 Sape, (2) to develop learning strategy and effective learning, in class XI Mipa 2 SMA Negeri 3 Sape, (3) students can actively involve themselves in communication activities by expressing ideas, opinions and feelings in a simple oral or written way, especially in writing the form of procedural text by using the model of Make a Match learning. Subjects in this study were teachers and students class XI Mipa 2 SMA Negeri 3 Sape. The object of this research is student activity, improvement of result, and student response in applying Make a Match Learning Model in writing procedure text. Technique used in this research are observation and giving of student performance test in form of written test. The data obtained were analyzed by descriptive-qualitative and descriptive-quantitative methods. The results of this study indicate that, (1) students and teachers were very active in carrying out learning activities; (2) the application of the Make a Match Learning Model can improve the students' writing of procedural text. This can be seen from the results of observation indicates that 21 of 29 students (72,41%) were active in learning process. Student score result of written test evaluation only 1 student (0,04%) which still has not reached KKM (minimum mastery criterion). The student's post test score in the form of individual evaluation through the Student Worksheet showed 2 students (0.07%) got the 'Good' score, 12 students (0.41%) got D 'fair' score, 14 students (0.48% ) got the value of 'poor'. From the results achieved, that the method of make a match learning model can improve students' ability in writing text in the form of procedures and also can increase student activity in the learning process.
