April 1, 1985, was the date that Michael Jordan got his first signature shoe that called Air Jordan 1 with a white, black, and red colorway that was a matchup with his team color, Chicago Bulls. 

This shoe going hyped at the day's first release date. Every people in the US want to buy this Michael Jordan signature shoe since the first day that this shoe on sale. Unfortunately, this Nike Air Jordan 1 got banned by the NBA because this shoe their colors broke the league's uniform rules. Michael Jordan was fined $5,000 by the NBA every time he wore the shoes. This shoe was also worn by Michael Jordan in Dunk Contest in 1985 and he is won that trophy. The picture of Michael Jordan's 1985 dunk contest was so iconic for this shoe.

Nike was very successful to use this "Banned" branding on this shoe. Air Jordan 1 "Banned" is the best ever salary in Nike Air Jordan ever and that's my favorite advertising ever. Nike was so smart, they see an opportunity and they take over that as well as we know right now. Air Jordan 1 "Banned" was the best advertising ever in my opinion.
