It was a beautiful Saturday night. The ground was still wet after a heavy rain for a whole evening and the commuters kept moving toward their own destinations. Though the cold night pierced my skin through to the bones, the town's scene which filled with a spirit of Christmas was worth to be enjoyed.
In every few meters, the city lights had different of paterns and colours to shine the town. Not to mention, there were alot of giant size of Christmas trees in every corner of shopping mall. The banner of promotions were here and there. I guessed, Christmas is a find reason for a celebration, yet promotion.
Tired of wandered aimlessly from mall to mall. Finally, I decided to go into the cafe to order a cup of latte and then rested myself in a comfortable corner. While I was watching the streets walkers who come and go from my sight, sudenly my eyes catched an attractive young girl with a skimpy red dress. It was not for her body or outfit that attracted my attention but the man in his sixties whom she talked with.
I tried to give the benefit of doubt that he was her grand dad. But after I paid attenttion further, he coudn't be. The girl was touching his crotch and smiling in flirtous way. Ah! That place was not red light district, I thought. But who care, everybody can do whatever they wanted. Then, I channeled my attention somewhere else until I finished my latte.
Then, I walked out from the cafe and I heard someone called my name. "Hi Julia!" I turned around to search the person and I saw a young man in the other end of the cafe waving his hand to me. I looked at him non commitally as I didn't quite recognised him. "Am I famous or what?" I whispered to myself.
He walked toward me and shook my hand like long lost friend as he said, "It's surprise isn't it? we didn't have a date but by chance we can see each other. I've been noticing you for sometime in this cafe, are you alone?"
"Mmmm... No I'm not alone, rrrr... actually yes" I answered nervously, I was afraid if he was a froud or whatever. "I'm sorry, I'm afraid I don't recognised you. I got to leave now"
"Come on, Julia. You know me, I'm Alan. I'm on your facebook's friend list! Remember now?"
"I don't think, I have a friend name Alan. I really sorry I got to leave now. My friend is waiting for me at the taxi stand!" I was about to run from Alan but he grabbed my hand harshly.
"Don't tell a lie Julia, I've been following you since you got out from the appartement. Even when you were wandering around from mall to mall until you rested yourself in this cafe. And you are all alone!" He spoke and smiled cynically.
"What do you want? Are you going to hurt me. You better not, I'll call the police right now!"
