The festival started with the ambassadors showcasing their ability to cook their country's signature dish while explaining about it. After all ten dishes have been cooked, the guests were invited to taste the noodle dishes while mingling with others. The mission also organised games where guests are divided into groups based on their seats and were asked to complete the paragraphs with words provided by the committee.
After they have finished, they were then asked to read the paragraphs together while doing something unique: the guests ended up Philippines Mission to ASEAN hosted an ASEAN Noodle mini festival on the 18th of March 2019, inviting all permanent representatives to cook their country's signature noodle dish. The event was held at the Embassy of Philippines Mission to ASEAN. As ASEAN Foundation was invited to participate to document the event, I was tasked to take pictures and videos.
At the end of the event, the guests were asked to take group photos and pictures at the photo booth provided. As the clock has reached 1 PM, guests could go home and resume their daily routine. Overall, the event was successful in not only promoting the dishes, but also in promoting the ASEAN Countries and identifying their specialties.
