Online learning become a learning solution nowadays, especially for lectures. The lecture process is helped by online learning. Because it is different from SMP or SMA, where the number of nomads is not as many as universities. However, there are ethics that need to be considered when learning.
Everyone knows what ethics is. But, when learning online there are several ethics that are missed, turning on the camera for example.
Internet connection and data quota are usually become common reasons for some students not to turn on the camera. However, this is actually bad ethic. because it should be for students to try to turn on the camera during lectures.
Another important ethic is to be present on time. Being on time, of course, must be the top priority before turning on the camera for a student. Because lectures will not start before most of the students attend. It will be a big loss, of course, if you do not attend lectures on time, delay the lecture time or do not get the complete course material.
Dressing modestly and turning off the microphone when the lecturer is speaking is also part of online learning ethics. Dress modestly, of course everyone already knows. However, for the problem of turning off the microphone, even though they already know there are sometimes a small part of students who forget to turn off the sound. Therefore, before starting lectures, it is appropriate to check the microphone again.
We should apply the above ethics and pay attention in order to achieve the expected learning. Because the pandemic is not an obstacle for us to keep learning.
