Volunteering in I-Fest While Commemorating Batik Day

During batik day, we, 25 IISMA UC Davis Awardee, celebrated and shared our culture during International Festival. I fest or International Festival is an event held by the International House (I - House) at the 2nd of October 2022. It is held to celebrate tradition and cultures all around the world. We can experience music, dance, and hands on workshop to feel the traditions and cultural expressions worldwide. The aim of I fest is to bring the celebrations of cultures from around the world in person. This event was cancelled during the pandemic and just started being reintroduced in 2022.  I-Fest Official Web

In this event we volunteered in Batik to help smooth out the event. We helped set up the booth, asked some people about their life experiences from the morning till afternoon! At the event, we experienced music, dance, and hands-on workshops showcasing traditions and cultural expression from around the world . In the end, we were all very tired but it was a FUN and EXTRAORDINARY experience!
