Sharing Session with Chinese peopl

The art of life is a constant readjustment to the surroundings.
-Kakuzo Okakaura-

The ability to adapt and to blend in with the surrounding is very important in our life. Especially when you are new in that place, it means that you need to know and adapt with the culture and the values. Considering that, President University Major Association (PUMA) of Communication will hold their first international event, CMIC (Chinese Students Meet Indonesian Culture), which aims to facilitate the international students, especially Chinese students, in President University to get to know Indonesian culture in order to help them adapt with Indonesian culture and get used to live in Indonesia.

Firstly initiated by Mr. Riyanto Adji M. M. Si., a Mandarin (Hn y) lecturer in President University, this event is held in order to change the stereotypes that Chinese people is exclusive, arrogant, and cannot blend in with Indonesian people and culture. This event is the proof that Chinese students especially in President University can blend in with Indonesian people and culture. CMIC is conducted at Charles Himawan Auditorium in President University on Saturday, 18th April 2019.

The committees also prepare a very interesting theme for this event, which is "3M: Menampilkan, Menyampaikan, dan Menginterpretasikan."This theme is chosen since the core of this event is to present Indonesian culture in fun way, which is by sharing session, games, talk show, and performances, to the foreign student in President University to help them adapt with the environment. This event can be attended by all international students in President University such as from Vietnam, Mongolia, Timor Leste, and of course China. But, no worries! Because, Indonesian students are also welcomed!

Moreover, there will be special guests from the Chinese Students of Padjajaran University who are studying language literature concentrating in Bahasa. They will share the struggle and happiness of living in Indonesia during the talk show.

"With this event, not only we help the international student, we also aim to get closer and mingle with them, so I hope the gap between Indonesian and international student could decrease through this event and we can build conducive studying and living environment in President University," said Emmanuel as the Project Manager of CMIC 2019.

Hopefully by this event, the participants could find tips of how to adapt and an idea of Indonesian culture so they can mingle well. Welcome, international students!
