Samuel Richardson was born in Mackworth, Derbyshire, Britain, on Eminent 19, 1689. He was an English essayist and printer who is respected as a critical figure within the advancement of the modern novel. Richardson built his acclaim by cleverly utilizing the epistolary fashion, as his stories created through correspondence traded between his characters.
