The launch of one of the public services, Digitalization of event licensing services was held on Monday, June 24, 2024, at The Tribrata Darmawangsa, Jakarta. The launch event was inaugurated by the President of the Republic of Indonesia, Joko Widodo and the Chief of Police General, Listyo Sigit Prabowo.

This event was attended by the Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan, Cabinet Secretary Pramono Anung, Minister for State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN) Erick Thohir, Minister of Youth and Sports (Menpora) Dito Ariotedjo, Minister of Communication and Information (Menkominfo) Budi Arie Setiadi, Head of the National Police Republic of Indonesia (Kapolri) General Listyo Sigit Prabowo, Acting. Jakarta Governor Heru Budi Hartono.

Digitalization of Event Licensing Services aims to make it easier for event organizers to get a faster and more efficient licensing process, a maximum of 14 days. The process can be accessed at any time online (not face-to-face), and payments are also made digitally. This digitalization system was developed after licensing services for music concerts. Lack of good planning management is the main problem in organizing events in Indonesia. This has an impact on the index of foreign tourist arrivals to Indonesia.

This service has been implemented at seven venues, including Gelora Bung Karno, JIEXPO Kemayoran, Jakarta Convention Center (JCC), Beach City International Stadium (BCIS) Ancol, Indonesia Convention Exhibition (ICE) BSD, Taman Mini Indonesia Indah (TMII), and Community Park PIK 2. Furthermore, the assessment process is being carried out for the implementation process in large cities in Indonesia, such as Medan, Bogor, Bandung, Semarang, Solo, Yogyakarta, Denpasar, Surabaya, and several other areas.

National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo said that event organizers only needed to complete the required documents online. Therefore, the process will make it easier for organizers to create applications.

"Currently, event organizers only need to fill out an application form and complete the required documents online. After that, the relevant agencies, starting from the venue management, Parekraf Service, and related police units, will immediately process the permits within a maximum of 14 working days," said the National Police Chief, Listyo Sigit in his speech.

In addition, President Joko Widodo also stressed that the digitalization process of licensing was carried out to reduce bureaucratic obstacles so that it would attract many international events that could maximize economic potential to the fullest.

"Once again, I hope that it is not just a service website but provides ease of management, really provides certainty well in advance, and cuts our bureaucracy." Said Joko Widodo.

The launch of the Digitalization of Event Licensing Services is expected to advance the creative economy sector and increase the growth of the events industry in Indonesia to accelerate economic growth in the sector. This system is expected to make the bureaucracy more efficient in organizing national and international events. In this way, the country's economy and the Indonesian Travel & Tourism Development Index (TTDI) will continue to increase.
