Yesterday I joined Mr. Joe's class as a mentor. The topic was Passive voice. I thought it was an interesting one to share.
There is something interesting when I studied about Passive Voice. One of the active sentence sample is “What do you eat?” If we change it into Passive form becomes “What are eaten by you?” or “What is eaten by you?” Both of those sentences are right in meaning.

In a certain condition the question “What is eaten by you?” is used to say a habitual in eating. For example if you eat rice, fried fish, sayur asem and sauce for lunch usually. We can use the sentence “What is eaten by you?” to ask. But if you don’t eat tempoyak (Palembang traditional food) for your lunch. In anyway somehow you have to eat it for lunch because you are treated by your friend. In this case you can ask “What are eaten by you?”
In another case there is a two years old kid eats bread while playing cards. Suddenly he eats those cards too. So we can ask the kid “What are eaten by you?”
