"Nothing is eternal in the interpretation of God's will, whereas eternal is the truth scattered on the earth of God" Such is the case of Hanafi thinking that is familiar to Muslim communities, especially Indonesian people. A well-known work is about the rise of Islam. He is a leading Islamic thinker and professor in Egypt, born in Cairo on February 13, 1956. His reputation is known to the international scene from various foreign universities and received extraordinary professorship. In reading Hasan Hanafi's thoughts, what feels is a lawsuit about the old Islamic religious traditions. He can be compared to other thinkers such as Ali Shariati, M Sahrur, Ali Ashgar and others.

Then Hasan Hanafi is a different figure in expressing his thoughts that the others think more forward the tradition and renewal. He is categorized as an intellectual who thinks critically. The rise of Islam for him is the rise of rationalism and the revival of reviving classical treasures. Different people also differ in their thinking, between Hasan Hanafi and Abed Al Jabiri and all philosophical thinkers, the conclusion of thought may be the same as that, but the epistemology with the methodology used by al-Jabiri is different from the one they use. This is what makes al-Jabiri have more value as a unique and also rare figure. He deeply understood tradition in depth, read it in accordance with the context at that time, connecting it with social phenomena that occur as well as with modern theories by not favoring modern theories.
