Many people assume that consuming organic food is safer than non-organic one. In view of the fact that, drinks, bread, vegetables and fruit grown, processed or packaged organically is free from the use of artificial preservatives, colorings, irradiation or any other additives, most of people prefer purchasing them.Another reason is that organic food can be nutritious, richer in vitamins, minerals and essential fatty acids that can extend people’s lives and prevent from sickness. However, we should not directly suppose that the organic food is absolutely better than the ordinary one for the science has not proven any nutritional difference between them. Thus, organic food doesn’t guarantee us either lengthen our lives or prevent from disease.
One of the strongest arguments in favor of organic food is that it is produced according to certain production standard. It means that it is not only grown without the use of conventional pesticides, artificial fertilizer, human waste, or sewage sludge, but also formulated without ionizing radiation or foods additives. While non-organic food is a farming methods not rising in normal growth but with the artificial and preservative compounds stated that it can give many problems for our health. Therefore, most of people believe that organic farming is healthier than the non-organic one. We know that this removes the pesticides and the surface microbes so that they will be safe to eat. For this reason we recognize that non-organic food is not absolutely worse than the organic one.
