PRELIMINARY
1. Background
Education is inseparable from the name of man, because man is the center of an education, both as a subject and an object. Man and education have a symbiotic relationship, in the sense that man develops the sciences in education and education develops man and his life.
As we know education is a very important part of human life. Because with education, humans can have very broad insights and humans can learn to recognize their potential, so that the knowledge gained is used for the benefit of themselves and the surrounding environment.
The purpose of children's education cannot be separated from the goals of Islamic education. In Islam, education has a goal, namely to create a complete Muslim generation, develop all its potential, and cultivate relationships that have a harmonious nature of every human person with Allah, humans and nature.[1]
Apart from that, education is a shared responsibility between parents, society and government. Of the three components have a relationship with one another and are also responsible for the education of children. However, we all know that the first educational institution a child gets comes from the family (parents). Therefore, the role of parents is very important in the process of children's education. In the science of hadith, there are also many explanations regarding the importance of the role of parents in the education of children.
1. Literature review
Syahrial Labaso in his article entitled "The Concept of Family Education in the Perspective of the Qur'an and Hadith" said that the role of the family in the educational process is an unavoidable necessity, this is because the family has a very important role in education. the first place for children to get an education.
Meanwhile, according to Susan Noor Darida in her article entitled "Hadiths About Education (A Study on the Importance of Children's Education)" said that the most important thing in shaping human nature and character is education. Both family education, school or the surrounding environment where these have their respective roles. Education about children that must be considered is in childhood where education at that time will shape the character of the child when he grows up.

DISCUSSION
1. Definition of Education
Education in the KBBI comes from the word "didik" and gets the suffix "pe" and ends with "an", then the word has the meaning of a method or process. Then in language, the notion of education is a process of changing the attitudes and behavior of a person or group of people in an effort to mature humans through teaching and training efforts.
While in Law no. 20 of 2003, education has the meaning of a conscious and planned effort to create a learning atmosphere and learning process so that students are able to actively develop their potential which aims to have religious spiritual strength, self-control, personality, noble character, intelligence and skills needed for themselves. society, nation and state. Ki Hajar Dewantara defines education as a demand in the life of the growth of children, which means guiding all the natures that exist in these children so that they can achieve safety and happiness.
According to Djumarsih, education is a human effort to grow and develop innate potentials, both physically and spiritually in accordance with the values that exist in society and culture.
So education can be interpreted as a conscious human effort to create a learning atmosphere and learning process that is planned and actively able to develop its potential.
2. Definition of Hadith
As we all know, "Hadith" according to language means al-jadid (something new). Hadith can also be interpreted as al-khabar (news), which is everything that is discussed and transferred from one person to another.[2] Then terminologically the hadith is defined as "all the words, deeds and taqrir of the Prophet concerned with the law", so if it is not related to the law, then it cannot be called a hadith.
According to Al-Dahlawi defines hadith as all the words, deeds, taqrir and characteristics of the Prophet Muhammad. Based on this, the hadiths are divided into words, deeds, taqrir, and the affairs of the Prophet Muhammad (all his characteristics and circumstances).[3]
So it can be interpreted that the hadith are all the words, deeds, taqrir and characteristics of the Prophet Muhammad related to law.
3. The Role of Parents in Children's Education from the Perspective of Hadith.
Parents are the main educators for a child, therefore the first educational institution that children go through is parents. Therefore, the growth and development of children must be considered by both parents. Moreover, the rapid advancement of technology will have a bad impact on children, because of the entry of foreign cultures that affect the attitudes and behavior of children. The progress of philosophy, science and technology does produce an increasingly advanced culture, the process is called cultural globalization.[4] Apart from technological advances, it has an impact on the moral aspect.
The decrease in morality occurs in all levels of society, it is most experienced by young people (teenagers). Therefore, the role of parents is very important in the education of children. Instilling faith in children should start as early as possible. Islam has given guidance in educating children, for example:
1. Educating children with habit
Habituation is something that is deliberately done repeatedly in order to become a habit. Habituation in question is getting children to do good things from an early age, such as throwing garbage in its place, apologizing if you make a mistake and promising not to repeat it, getting used to praying on time as well as going to the mosque in congregation and so on. for children. If children are accustomed to doing good, then children tend to like to do good things and leave things that are despicable.[5]
Al-Baihaqi has narrated a hadith from Ibn Abbas, that the Messenger of Allah said:
افتحوا لى ا اول لمة لا اله الاالله لقنوهم الموت لااله الله.[6]
Meaning: "Open for your young children with the sentence 'laa ila ha illallahh' and teach talqin the sentence 'laaa ilaa ha illallaah' before his death"
The hadith explains that children must be accustomed from an early age. Long before modern theories emerged, the Prophet Muhammad had taught his followers the method of habituation. These habits are taught from an early age intended to be attached to children.
2. Educating Children by Example
Exemplary is an action that can be imitated and followed by someone from others who make it happen, and the person who is followed is called an example. Exemplary (al-Uswah) is an educational method that is applied by giving commendable examples in the form of real behavior, especially in worship and morals.
Parents should be good role models for their children, because we often encounter parents educating their children with violence, so that this has a negative impact on the mental development and attitudes of children. And vice versa, if parents educate children with love, tenderness, full of manners then this will make the mental development and attitude of the child good. From here, the big role of parents in nurturing and educating children from childhood to adulthood.
Rasulullah SAW, has given an example in terms of establishing prayer at the beginning of time. He left all his work when the call to prayer was sounded. Hadith narrated by Bukhari, Al-Tirmidhi, Ahmad from Ayesha:
الاسود ال لت اىشة اكان النبي لى الله ليه لم له الت ان مهنة اهله , ا الصلاة ام لى الصلاة.
Al-Aswad narrated, "I asked Aisha, 'How is the condition of the Messenger of Allah. work? Aisha replied: when he worked for his family business, then entered the prayer time, then he stopped working and did the prayer.
The hadith explains that the Prophet gave an example that work should not be a barrier for someone to pray at the beginning of time.
So parents can follow the example of the Prophet Muhammad SAW. who then gives direction to their children, so that the child can follow what their parents do.
CONCLUSION
Education can be interpreted as a conscious human effort to create an atmosphere of learning and a planned learning process that is actively able to develop its potential.
Hadith as all the words, deeds, taqrir and characteristics of the Prophet Muhammad SAW. Based on this, the hadiths are divided into words, deeds, taqrir, and the affairs of the Prophet Muhammad (all his characteristics and circumstances).
