Malang, January 22nd, 2025---The Laboratory of Social Welfare Study Program, Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, University of Muhammadiyah Malang, released practicum II (Community Organizing and Empowerment). This activity symbolically released 49 students who will carry out practicum II to their places.
This activity was attended by the Dean of the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, University of Muhammadiyah Malang, Prof. Dr. Muslimin Machmud, M.Si, Leader of Social Welfare Study Program, Dr. Fauzik Lendriyono, M.Si, Leader of Laboratory of Social Welfare Study Program, Mr. Eko Purwo Widodo, MSW, lecturers, laboratory assistants, and students.
In his report, Mr. Eko explained, "In this activity, students will carry out social mapping, where they are also trained in interacting and communicating with the community. We also hope this activity will provide for the future of social welfare study program students."
"The social mapping that will be carried out by students will be collected and become a laboratory inventory, which is a place to train students' skills in applying social welfare science," added Mr. Fauzik, Leader of the Social Welfare Study Program.
Prof. Dr, Muslimin closed with his remarks, "What is done by Social Welfare study program is a good effort for their students where not all study programs can carry out the same activities. Hopefully, this activity can be an effort so that the current generation is not considered a useless generation."
Practicum II will be held for 1 month, starting from (01/25) to (02/25). And will be divided into 7 groups into 7 villages in Junrejo, Batu City. And our group will be placed in Dadaprejo.
We hope that practicum II will be carried out well and the students can implement the materials that have been given.
