(1) Mirror, Mirror on the Wall

Mirror, mirror on the wall, who’s the fairest of us all? Thus was asked by the maiden to the mirror hung on her bedroom wall. Not only there, she would ask the same question with gusto to every reflecting surface she could find. She would asked the rearview mirror the same question, the tiny mirror of her cosmetic pouch, the vanity mirror in toilets, the glassy surface of the shop windows, glass doors and glass tables, etc.

What she doesn’t realize is that she never gets a straight answer. Is she or isn’t she?

Time passed, and now the image at the mirror stares right through her, with those ashen eyes, strands of grey hair and wrinkles, all youth had drained out of her. She would sometimes, out of retrospect, whispered the old question to mirrors, a thing she would only does when she is sure of her privacy. The aged woman in the mirror would snap at her: “Take a good look, and answer for yourself!!”And the mirror would crack.

(2) Kau-Aku Satu

Satu lelaki dan satu perempuan tertusuk panah asmara, luka parah. Mereka mengikat janji sehidup semati. Lelaki dan perempuan bergandeng tangan saling berhadapan, menatap wajah seakan bercermin, awalnya saling mengagumi, bibir mereka merekah mantra “aku cinta kau”. Tak lama mulailah adu-tatap mereka mencari-cari, mengharap melihat imaji yang persis dengan diri.

Tatapan lelaki perlahan membuat perempuan mulai tumbuh kumis. Tatapan perempuan mulai membulatkan penuh dada lelaki.
