Emmeril Kahn Mumtadz or who is often called Eril is the eldest child of a West Java governor, Ridwan Kamil.
On Thursday (26/5/2022) Eril was swimming with a younger sister and a friend in the Aare River, and actually he swam at a point that had been declared harmless.
At around 10:00 local time, he was reported and declared missing, dragged by the current of the Aare River. However, while being dragged by the current, there were people who saw and heard Eril's screams asking for help, which then local residents finally reported the incident to the local police.
Since being declared missing on (26/5/2022) many efforts have been made by related parties such as the SAR team, firefighters and also assisted by the government of the Swiss capital, Bern.
Many efforts have been made to find Eril, one of which is by expanding the search range by the SAR team. The search on the second day of Eril's disappearance had combed the area as far as 17 km from the Aare River area, and at that time a team of divers had also been dispatched to search for Eril from under the water.
After about a week of searching and no light at all, Ridwan Kamil's family as Eril's father has stated that Eril has died even though his body has not been found.
On Wednesday (8/6/2022) the body of Eril, who is the son of Ridwan Kamil, was finally found in the Engehalde Dam, Bern. After being found, the police immediately carried out forensic activities to examine the body, and the result was that the body was indeed the body of Emmeril Kahn Mumtadz who had been declared missing from us (26/55/2022).
