The rain asks me a favor

It told me to grab a hoe and start to ease the rock-hard ground, shape it side to side

Tomorrow, I said

Let me ease my mind first, for life hasn't been good to me lately

So the rain falls ever harder, and along with it, thunder, hundreds of them

Tomorrow may never come, children of Adam, it said

These butterflies are waiting, cherish the chance to give them the best of flowers

Let your mistake teach you of what life desires

And if they never come, look at what you create

A beautiful garden, just for you

For it is better to live gracefully among your creation than to leave nothing, dying while you still breathe

So keep on going, take the path of hardship, and command the earth to your liking

Grow before it was you they buried beneath the garden
