When I was a kid, I always think that the only person who can  help a patient is a doctor and I also think that one field has only one occupation. As time goes by I began to change my mindset and realizing that there are a lot of occupation in one field. Fun fact, occupational medicine was limited to the treatment of injuries and diseases occurring to production workers while at work. Over the years, this changed, with employees at plants, factories, and offices become qualifying for medical services. College or school health programs might be considered as extensions of occupational medicine. Moreover, there are at least three kind of jobs in medical section according to their own specialty on their job such as, doctor, nurse and midwife.

First is a doctor. I think this occupation is one of the most important role in medical section. To work in a health occupation especially doctor, as a doctor we must have special training and have more than 4 years of college. Being a doctor is not easy because they have to provide diagnoses and treat patients who are suffering from diseases and injuries. Doctors can be primary care physicians or they may specialize in a particular area of medicine such as internal medicine, emergency medicine, obstetrics and gynecology, neurology, pediatrics, geriatrics, psychiatry, endocrinology, ophthalmology, or anesthesiology. Doctors usually do their jobs at the hospital or in Indonesia they usually have their own offices.

Second is nurse. Nurse play an important roles in hospitals. They make up the biggest health care occupation in the United States. Nursing job duties include communicating between patients and doctors, caring for patients administering medicine and supervising nurses aides. The educational path for becoming a nurse varies depending on the type of nurse one hopes to become, but all nurses must be licensed. There are several types of nurses for example, registered nurse, critical care nursing, nurse anesthetist, pediatric nursing etc.

The last is midwife. Midwife is a trained health professional who helps healthy women during labor, delivery and after the birth of their babies. Midwives may deliver babies at birthing centers or at home, but most can also deliver babies at a hospital. Women who choose them have had no complications during their pregnancy. The other things that midwife can do are first, help you to make your birth plans, educate and counsel you about pregnancy, childbirth, and newborn care, provide you with emotional and practical support during labor, deliver your baby and make referrals to doctors when needed.

As a result, there are a lot of occupations not only in medical section but also in another section, and from the occupations in medical section that I've been mentioned before such as, doctor, nurse and midwife. From here we can know that there are many things that must and can be done in these field which are very interesting to learn. Moreover, very useful for the future and the people around us.
