This article investigates how epistemology plays a role in shaping contemporary political dynamics. Plato suggests that true knowledge can be achieved through rationality and understanding of abstract concepts. For him, the real world is a shadow or a copy of a more real and abstract world of ideas. While Aristotle emphasized more on observation and experience as the basis of knowledge. He created the concept of 'episteme' which refers to knowledge that is based on solid principles.

As an example of contemporary political changes from an epistemological perspective, we can see the phenomenon of the use of social media in politics. The idea of epistemology involves the way we understand and acquire knowledge. In this context, social media becomes the main channel where political information is distributed, but sometimes the information can be questioned.

The idea of epistemology also considers the role of bubble filters and echo chambers in social media, where individuals tend to be exposed to views that are in line with their own beliefs. This can affect our understanding of political reality and strengthen polarization.

Thus, the analysis of contemporary political change from an epistemological point of view includes the study of how we understand, acquire, and assess truth in the ever-evolving era of digital information.

In the study of how to understand and assess the truth of digital information, the concept of epistemology can be applied with the following aspects:

1 . Source Verification

Checking the credibility of digital information sources is key. Epistemology requires the user to understand the origin of the information and investigate whether the source is trustworthy.

2. Methodological Understanding

Epistemology encourages understanding of the methodology used in generating digital information. How data is collected and analyzed can affect the validity of the information.

3. Filter and Bias Recognition

Awareness of filter bubbles and biases that may appear in social media platforms helps individuals recognize potential distortions in their understanding of the truth.
