A few months ago, I had the opportunity to go learn English and even make friends from various regions in Indonesia. And of course, I went to Kampung Inggris Pare, Kediri. I went there myself. I departed from Tawang Station, Semarang. I had a long road trip for about 6 hours by economy class Matarmaja train, and I arrived at Kediri station.

On the first day, I arrived at the Kediri station at half past 12 at the midnight, I was picked up by the course driver because I was alone, and the distance between the station and the course (Kediri - Pare) took around 45--60 minutes. Doesn't stop there, I had to wait about 2 hours at the station because the car I was in also picked up other students. Around 2 o'clock, I finally continued my journey to the English village of Pare. When I got there, I was immediately escorted to the women's camp. Because of fatigue, I immediately rested.

The next day, I and my friends got acquainted, and we went for a car-free day. Before that, we rented bicycles for 10 thousand rupiah/day. there we saw many people selling food, knick-knacks, and even services. The food there is quite cheap, I can get ayam geprek and rice for 5 thousand rupiahs for one serving. After that, we toured kampung Inggris area by bicycle.

There I made many friends from various regions of Indonesia, such as Bandung, Jakarta, Lamongan, Lombok, Kalimantan, Papua, and so on. Some even came from outside Indonesia, namely Timor Leste. In kampung Inggris, there are many courses not only in English but also in Mandarin, Japanese, Korean, etc. Almost all courses there has a period of opening new students and increasing the level of learning. So every two weeks we will take the exam to increase the level of learning if we are fairly capable and understand the material provided. Learning there is fun because we can also learn outside the classroom, and of course, we also get new experiences.

Three months passed I finally reached the 6th step. And it was time for me to take the final exam to be able to pass and get a certificate. Finally, I went back to Jepara by train from Kediri station to Lempuyangan station. I go to Jogja because I missed the train to Kediri - Semarang. It was a funny experience. Finally, I arrived in Jepara safely, even though I lost a little due to missing the train.

A trip to the kampung Inggris Pare a few months ago was an experience I will never forget for the rest of my life. As a bonus, three months after arriving home, several people trusted me to help their children learn English. I think that having quality knowledge and relationships is very important.
