The Covid-19 pandemic has had a bad impact on the world, one of which is in the field of the unstable economy, especially in Indonesia. The adverse impact of the unstable economy was felt by several business actors, one of which was a retail merchants in Medan which I will discuss here. The retail merchants was named Mrs. Mahrani.

She opened her retail merchants in 2018 with a capital of Rp.30,000,000.00. The reason she opened the grocery store was that she was able to take care of the household at the same time and take care of her children for school. Usually, he opens his shop from 10:00 a.m. to 03:00 a.m.

During the covid-19 period, she said that her income was unstable so her capital was reduced because people were reluctant to leave the house to shop and switch to shopping online, because it was more practical and avoided contact with others. Another reason is that she cannot open her retail merchants because sometimes there is a sudden police raid when she opens her retail merchants. Therefore, the income generated is unstable so she often increases her trading capital. For example, she increased her capital by about 5-10 million during the pandemic yesterday.

At this time, the economy began to improve because the pandemic has begun to end. Her merchandise is very in demand, especially at night because it is located in front of the highway and is easy for buyers to reach. But the problem that arises now is that the capital is lacking so what sells is not as much as before the pandemic.

For now she earns Rp.500,000 with a profit of around Rp.200,000 per day. Very interesting isn't it? But even so, it turns out that there are ups and downs in selling, namely sometimes there are many buyers and sometimes there are few buyers.  Therefore, there are tips from her to be able to sell in demand, namely:

1. Make customers comfortable with your store while shopping

2. Always be suave to buyers

3. Don't make your face sour when you are bad mood try to smile when customers see us.
