There was one ad that caught my eye, quite simple but enough to make me realize something important. This ad comes from one of the well-known e-commerce in Indonesia, namely Tokopedia. This ad tells the story of a daughter and a father, the child has been abandoned by her mother. The child works out of town and leaves her father at home alone. The child likes work (workaholic) and is so busy with her work that she often doesn't come home to visit her father. One time her father was sick, and the daughter had to go home to visit her father. There is one scene where the father's neighbor tells hers that the child must come home often and don't forget to come home.
When her father was in the hospital, the daughter saw the condition of her house that was not maintained. Starting from the lights that are off, the garden that is not maintained, the water faucet is leaking, the house is dusty, and others. The daughter wants to make things right, because she also feels that the house will always be where he will come home. All the memories and memories with his mother and father are in that old house. The daughter also bought all the equipment and necessities at Tokopedia, because in the shop everything had been provided. In the end, when hers father returned from the hospital, she saw that the house was very neat and well maintained. The daughter finally talked to her father about all her longings and she would return home and continue her life in her home.
I think the meaning of the advertisement is deep, but behind the meaning, we still think about the function of Tokopedia is clearly illustrated. It takes creativity to have such good ideas and ad content. In addition, in making advertisements, it also requires a solution related to today's life so that people will feel the benefits in the present.
