History Vs Herstory

Like a man, a woman has her story too. She did many great things that shocks world, then be story of her life. There are many women with great achievement. Let’s say, JK Rowling with her-created character ‘Harry Potter’. Her successful writing writes her own story and will become herstory to be learned by the others.
Furthermore, many women were considered as hero because of their merit. In Indonesia, for instance, we have Kartini and Cut Nyak Dien as woman hero who have important role in achieving the independence of Indonesia.
So, why don’t we have the word herstory as an equivalent for history to state ‘sejarah’...???
