Indonesian fashion is currently attractive to discuss among millennials and Gen Z. Competition between local brands and designers in showing Indonesian culture internationally is increasingly competitive. Several Fashion Weeks were held, both nationally and globally, which included local brands and several local designers in showing Indonesian fashion with its local wisdom internationally, becoming a public topic of conversation. Especially among artists and influencers in Indonesia who also participate in developing the Indonesian style. Some hot news about the fashion world in the last few months shows the progress of people's efforts, especially in the fashion sector, in showing off their work. It cannot be denied that this is a source of pride for our society. This is proven by the reactions of Indonesian netizens who also hype every news related to the appearance of Indonesian brands or fashion in the eyes of foreigners. Three significant movements occurred this year that have become the public spotlight regarding the works of the nation's children who have gone global:

1. Global and Local brands

There are more and more local brands that are global and have succeeded in penetrating the international market in Indonesia. They are starting from 3Second, Cottonk Ink, to the latest Erigo. The success of these fashion brands cannot be separated from various aspects such as the quality of materials, marketing, campaigns, and their existence on social media, which catapults the names of these brands. These three local brands have become prominent and increasingly famous when collaborating with foreign fashion. This is what makes their name known. Because, in reality, the public will be interested in the brand's products if they are recognized or seen by the public outside. Apart from good quality, the name of a brand is also an important point for people when buying clothes. People will tend to buy branded clothing to support their quality.

Like what Erigo has done in recent years, after successfully dominating the local market, Erigo dared to penetrate the international market by appearing at the New York Fashion Week show. By engaging Indonesian influencers, comedians and artists in the launch of the Erigo line, The advertisement on the New York billboard uses currently famous comedians, namely Babe Cabita and Mercel Widianto, who are far from being fashion models but instead attract the public's attention.

2. Support from the government through JMFW

The Jakarta Muslim Fashion Week performance, which was held recently, became a hot topic of conversation with the appearance of a public figure, namely the Minister of Education, Culture, Research and Technology (Mendikbudristek) Nadiem Makariem. Mr Nadiem's presence is an encouragement for local designers and brands who are advancing Indonesian fashion so that it becomes increasingly global. This year, the Vocational Fashion Masterpiece Festival was also held at the JMFW event. It showcased well-known products from prominent Indonesian designers and became a place to display beautiful works from vocational education units. Before preparing for this festival, the Ministry of Education and Culture and Research and Technology has carried out a strict selection of designs submitted by vocational education units by involving experts from the academic world and fashion industry players to carry out curation, which is by the culture of curatorial professionalism in the creative industry. This shows the support of the Indonesian government in the fashion sector this year. In this performance, it was clear that designers and vocational education units were competing to show their best work. The clothes displayed clearly show the characteristics of our culture, which are made from traditional fabrics such as batik, songket, and others.

3. Showing Indonesian masterpieces at PFW

The actress who plays the main character in the film Buming recently became the public spotlight when her figure walked on the PFW catwalk. Ariel Tatum, star of the film Broken Wings, has recently become the talk of the public with her stunning actions at Paris Fashion Week, capable of bewitching anyone who looks at her. However, what stood out about the star at the Paris Fashion Week event was her dress at the Paris Fashion Week Gala Dinner. It can be seen from the photo he uploaded on his personal Instagram account that there was a flood of praise from netizens who were amazed by the true Indonesian beauty exuded by Ariel Tatum. In this post, Ariel Tatum revealed the deep meaning of her dress through the photo caption. Dressed in black clothes.
