Every 21 of April in Indonesia celebrated the Kartini Day. That day is a beautiful day for Indonesian women where we can celebrate the birthday of R. A Kartini. Everyone must know who Kartini. Kartini is a national hero in Indonesia. She is known as the pioneer woman of the resurrection of indigenous women.

Raden Ajeng Kartini was born in Jepara on 21 April 1897. His father was named Rama Sosroningrat Wedana where at that time he served as assistant head of the region. While his mother was named, Ma Ngasirah who was a girl in Teluk Awur village in Jepara as the son of a nobleman.

Kartini's dream is to be like her mother to work hard for someone else. She went to Dutch school but by the time he was 12 his father forbade him to continue his school because of a tradition. Where a noblewoman couldn't have a high education. A woman can only work in the kitchen.

Kartini arranged by his parents by Rembang regent is K.R.M. Duke Ario Singgih Djojo Adhiningrat. Kartini married on November 12, 1903. After marriage, Kartini had to move to Rembang having to follow her husband. Because her husband understood all of his wife's dreams, therefore he freed Kartini to realize all her dreams. Kartini established a special school for women east of the gate of Rembang district office complex or what is now called "Gedung Pramuka."

On September 13, 1904, Kartini gave birth to her first child named Singgih but Kartini's condition after childbirth became weaker and eventually died on September 17, 1904, at the age of 25 years.

Kartini is buried in Bulu Village, Bulu District, Rembang. After Kartini died, Mr. J.H. Abendanon collected and recorded the letters Kartini sent to his friends of Europe. The book is entitled "Door Duisternis tot Licht" or literally can be called with "Habis Gelap Terbitlah Terang." This book was published in 1911. The book is printed five times and in the last story, there is an additional letter from Kartini.

In conclusion, Until now to commemorate the services of Kartini on Kartini day from Kindergarten to High School they sing Kartini song. Now the Kartini is gone. But the spirit and the dream is always in our hearts. Currently, the progress of Indonesian women is influenced by the spirit of Kartini which is contained in the collection of dark out letters rising from dusk to dawn.
