Electric Vehicle Reduce Air Pollution Effectively?

My Thesis: I personally think that switching to electric vehicles from gasoline-based fuels vehicle is the best idea to reduce air pollution.

Argument 1 (elaboration): Energy is a very important part of society. Without it, we would not be able to live. Many different sources power our lives and fulfill our energy needs. The automobile is one part of human culture that we are highly dependent on. Most cars today are powered by gasoline, which pollutes the air, is expensive, and is a non-renewable resource. Scientists have been working to find new ways to make and power cars. They said using electric cars will help clean up our environment and air quality. 

 Argument 2 (elaboration): More dependence on electrically powered cars would mean that our fuel costs would decrease. Electricity and the cost to refuel an electric car are significantly less than the price of filling up a gasoline engine. The energy generated to power the electric car and the energy to move the car are 97 percent cleaner. Some critics of electrically powered cars say that they are impractical because they take a long time to charge and don't go a very long way. On the other hand, electric power is also included in renewable energy, so we don't have to worry about running out of energy. 

Recommendation: Based on the facts above, we can conclude that changing gasoline-fueled vehicles to electric vehicles is the greatest idea of this century and also the most appropriate step to reduce pollution and the problem of fossil energy that will run out in the next few centuries.
