Cries of Palestine

In a land that was once beautiful,
In a place called Palestine,
Children cry silently,
Under the pitch-black sky.

Their hearts are full of wounds,
No smiles, only pain,
Living under the shadow of war,
They endure, though there is no light.

Behind the ruins of houses,
There is a fading hope,
They dream of peace,
But the dream is too far away, too faint.

Father left, mother struggled,
They grew up in fear,
But in their little hearts,
There is still love, there is still prayer.

Maybe one day,
They can see the rainbow,
Without fear, without tears,
In sweet, peaceful Palestine.
