Teaching Activities for Student About How Data Works on Social Media Platforms

The presentation was supported by visually appealing slides and short videos demonstrating data collection simulations on popular platforms like Instagram and TikTok. This approach helped students grasp abstract concepts more concretely and practically.

With this material, students were expected not only to understand how data works but also to apply the knowledge gained to protect their privacy in the digital world and use social media more responsibly.

Data Security Practice

After the material session, students were invited to practice activating two-factor authentication (2FA) on their social media accounts. This step aimed to increase students' awareness of personal data protection. Such security measures are crucial in preventing potential data breaches by unauthorized parties.

Evaluation and Closing

To close the activity, an interactive quiz using the Quizizz platform was held to measure the students' understanding of the material. The quiz questions were designed based on the presented material. Winners of the quiz were announced and given awards as a form of appreciation.

This activity not only broadened the students' insights but also raised their awareness of the importance of data privacy. The team hopes this initiative serves as a good starting point for students to become more critical about digital information.
