European Union Must Fulfill Jokowi Offer to Build a Stainless Steel Factory in Indonesia for Win-Win Solution

Indonesia is the largest crude nickel producer in the European Union, while the European Union Ambassador, Vincent Piket, feels that the loss due to the ban on raw nickel has damaged the stainless steel market  indirectly from Jokowi.

Maximum cooperation in all sectors, soft power needs to be increased by Indonesia and so that our interests meet. In the manufacture of stainless steel companies in Indonesia and in the EU achieve a win-win solution.

Indonesia faces the European Union taking unilateral advantage in order to offer the nickel processing industry, especially European steel companies, to move to Indonesia to create jobs in Indonesia in order to achieve a win-win solution.

In an international system, the European Union and Indonesia depend on each other, but the trade in crude nickel itself does not provide guarantees for the protection of the security of the Indonesian state, resulting in anxiety about the benefits of mutualism.

The ban on exports of raw nickel as Indonesian diplomacy is not aimed at destroying the stainless steel market but to build independence so that Indonesia can contribute to producing stainless steel for the European Union.

Not to mention the minimal ability for the European Union to predict what will happen to trade in the future by these developing countries which is underestimated.

Indonesia has always made continuous efforts to exert its influence in international politics and these efforts in developed countries will not be in vain if the country already has sufficient power to exert its influence in the economic system of the European Union.

Although raw nickel is very abundant quantity but very limited quantities, Indonesia must change its trading strategy for raw nickel into stainless steel wisely to have a positive influence on the European Union.

Raw nickel is the future material for the Indonesian people to build stainless steel companies and the latest technology so that Indonesia offers cooperation between steel companies and factories in Indonesia for technology transfer and sustainability for a shared future.

Indonesia has succeeded in using soft power as stated in the book "Soft Power: The Means to Success in World Politics", which was published in 2004. This warning has even become a reality for a sustainable business model in Indonesia.
